How to Apply For Dual Language Immersion and Magnet Programs

Glendale Unified School District's Dual Language Immersion and Magnet programs require an application. Students are selected through a random lottery. Follow the four steps below to complete the application and enrollment process.

 

Applications for the 2027–2028 school year open November 1, 2026.

Step 1: Complete an applic­ation

Complete an application for the 2027-28 school year. Applications submitted after January 31, 2027, will be placed on a waitlist.

Step 2: Sign up for a language assess­ment

If your child speaks the target language, schedule a language assessment when applying online. If scheduling is unavailable, a district representative will contact you.

Step 3: Complete Enroll­ment Paperwork

Applicants will be notified of lottery results in February. If accepted, families must complete the required enrollment packet within three weeks. Admission is not confirmed until the packet is completed and approved.

Step 4: Obtain a Permit (If Applic­able)

On or after March 1, apply for a release from your district of residence and apply for an inter-district permit with GUSD by visiting glendale.schoolmint.com. You must obtain a permit in order to enroll.

Tours for the 2027- 2028 school year will begin in October 2026.
