Textbook Review Process
The proposed basic and/or supplementary textbooks listed below are available for review by parents, guardians, and members of the community before being presented to the Board of Education for their review and approval, in accordance with GUSD Board Policy 6161.1.
The books will be available for review by appointment only at the GUSD Educational Services Department, located at 223 N. Jackson Street, Glendale, CA 91206, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Input received regarding the textbooks will be shared with the Board of Education during their review process.

Curriculum For Review
The Glendale Unified School District, in accordance with Board Policy 6142.6, has undertaken a formal review process to adopt a performing arts curriculum for TK through 6th grade students in music, theatre, and dance. Twenty-five teachers representing the elementary schools have reviewed the candidate programs.
GUSD would like to invite our community of students’ familiess top review the curriculum being advanced in the adoption process and provide comments on the content/quality of the candidate curriculum. The program publisher has provided a detailed overview of its proposed curriculum linked in the form below. The public comment period closes June 19, 2026.
